Shoes!

Shoes!!!!!!!!!!!! I love shoes. :) I'm going to wear these for homecoming. Probably with a pair of black pants or jeans & this cute purple ruffle shirt I found (for a steal, too!). No clue will be done to the mop on my head called hair.

(I didn't do a picture of myself. I had an allergy attack. Far from looking decent or in the mood to attempt a picture.)

*List 5 fantastic events that happened to you in 2009... Why are they significant to you?
1) Birth of J... Ou 3rd beautiful child & 2nd son. Need I say more?
2) Family came from across the states to visit us. The military takes you all over & not always close to your family and friends.
3) The kids & I got to come to VA to be with family for the holidays. (See reason in #2)
4) I was able to take advantage of some "free" money to go back to school. Adding to my collection of degrees, lol. It's free money - money I don't have to pay back. What could be better than that??!
5) Little selfish one... I got my land yatch. After this trip of squeezing 3 car seats into the back of a car & fishing for buckles, I am VERY thankful we have a vehicle with 3 rows & that the 2nd row is captains chairs.

*List 5 not so fantastic events that happened in 2009... Did you learn from these events? Are you stronger?
1) The big D... deployment #3 in 4 years. From this one I learned how to unclog drains, how to turn water off to the whole house & yard (minor pipe burst... three times!), & something else that I have blocked from my memory, lol.
2) The horrible housing market. Thankfully we don't plan on selling any time soon.

That's all I can think of for not so fantastic events in 2009 If anything else comes to mind I will add them it. We were really lucky that it wasn't a horrible year for us like many others. The husband has a fantastic stable job even if it takes him away from us for periods at a time.

Brrrr!!!!!!

It's been a super windy & cold here in VA. It's hard to think about it being in the 70's back in CA. I took R & L to the store earlier this morning. I ended up having to grab a cart & toss L in because she was having a hard time walking against the wind. It was that strong! Well then I ended up having to push the cart against that same wind... not fun.

Here is day 2's picture! It's me & J. Playing from my mom's laptop. I <3 having the camera built in. Better (as in less embarassing) self portraits of myself then when I attempt them from a regular camera. I can't believe J is going to be 7 months in just over a week. He's master rolling around (back to front, front to back). He wants to crawl sooooo badly! He gets rather frustrated when his legs are kicking but he's not going anywhere.

365/2010 Challenge

For this new year I am going to be participating in a challenge. You take a picture of yourself everyday. I figure this would be good for me to keep up with blogging. I really slacked on this for 2009. I really have no clue where the past year went. Where ever it went, it went fast. ;)

Ok, so I will probably get told I cheated, but oh-well, lol. I was in my pj's with my hair tossed back & it was just after mid-night. I was playing with the photo booth program on my brother's Macbook. The kids are most entertained by it. R & J did not make it to midnight but L was quit the party girl. I have no clue how she managed to stay up since she only took a 5 minute nap in the car earlier in the day.

I hope everyone has a wonderful year. I predict many good things and changes for our family.
